PINWHEEL TENERIFFE GOURD
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2012 10:30 AM TO 3:00 PM
Students will learn teneriffe needle weaving on a gourd and a simple pine needle rim.
ALL MATERIALS TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT WILL BE SUPPLIED BY TEACHER.
STUDENTS SHOULD BRING SMALL SHARP SCISSORS TO CUT THREADS.

PINE NEEDLE COVERED BOXFEBRUARY 18, 2012 10:30 AM TO 3PM
Students will learn how to pine needle coil starting on a wood base and shaping sides. They will also learn how to make a fitted lid for the box.
STUDENTS WILL BE SUPPLIED WITH ALL MATERIALS TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT.
STUDENTS SHOULD BRING SMALL SHARP SCISSORS TO CUT THREADS.

Christine Farley will conduct a one day workshop using watercolor and Yupo Paper. This workshop will focus on experimentation and evolution of your concept thru abstract shapes and texture. You must be brave!
Yupo is a type of synthetic paper used primarily in the printing industry since it takes inks and holds with a razor sharp edge. It resists tearing and tattering, is a bright white in color, very durable, and highly resistant. To see an example of yupo, visit the watercolor pages at:

PHOTOSHOP BASICS
Saturday, February 25th: 10:30am-4pm

Students will learn the basic editing tools and develop an efficient digital workflow from the camera to an Adobe Photoshop software program. Organizing images, color correcting, image sharpening, resizing of images for print and the web are some of the topics covered. Participants will follow along by applying to their images the tools and techniques demonstrated. Please bring a laptop and a version of Adobe Photoshop program. One can download a free trial of Photoshop CS 5 at the Adobe website.

This is a Studio Class. Join in at anytime. Jill will work with you on either of the media listed below and on any project already started. Are you needing someone to give you help or instruction on improving your work? This is the class for you. Just starting a project from a favorite picture or photo? Bring it in and Jill will help you with your technique.
